New Trier Student Approached By Driver, Police Say
The suspicious incident occurred last Thursday. Two other similar incidents were reported in Skokie recently.
Winnetka Police responded to a report of a suspicious incident between a New Trier student and an unknown driver last Thursday by issuing a crime prevention alert to the community. A 15-year-old female student was approached after school at about 3 p.m. by a man in a black SUV who asked her if she needed a ride, according to Deputy Chief Patrick Kreis. The man also asked how old she was and if she was a New Trier student, according to police. The Winnetka Police crime prevention alert says the incident occurred near Church Rd. and Hill Rd.
