CUDDLES is a beautiful 7-year-old Tortoiseshell cat with luminescent eyes that sparkle. She was surrendered to Heartland because of the difficult economy; her former owners could no longer afford to keep her. Cuddles' favorite hobby is watching the birds outside the Cat Room window. She enjoys socializing with all of the Heartland visitors and if she gets brushed she is in absolute heaven! Cuddles would just love to find her own home where she could be queen of the castle. Adoption Information - Heartland's cat adoption fee of $100 includes up-to-date vaccinations, spay/neuter, deworming, FIV/feline leukemia test, and a microchip. PAPOO is a sweet 9-year-old Rat Terrier mix who has lots of love to go around! He really enjoys going out for nice spring walks with all of the Heartland volunteers. Papoo is a very mellow and friendly guy who would love to find his forever home. Adoption Information- Heartland's Dog Adoption fee of $225 includes up-to-date vaccinations, spay/neuter, de-worming, microchip, and Heartworm test. Puppy adoption fees are slightly higher and reduced rates are often offered for special needs dogs. Each week, Winnetka-Glencoe Patch features cats and dogs available for adoption from Heartland Animal Shelter in Northbrook.
Purris Hilton had been adopted from Heartland a few years ago and was in a loving home. Unfortunately, she was returned to the shelter because of family issues and is not faring too well since her return to the shelter. Purris is a stunning black and white cat with a large white fur diamond on her neck – call it her bling. She is very sweet and like her name implies, she loves to purr. She is around 3-years-old, friendly, loves to be brushed and really loves tummy rubs. Carlina came to Heartland from animal control in Southern Illinois and is ready to find her forever family. She is a mid-sized terrier mix with beautiful brindle coloring and she also has the personality to match. Carlina is playful, sweet, obedient, walks well on a leash …
