State Senators from Illinois' 9th District represent towns in the northern suburbs of Chicago, ranging from Evanston to Morton Grove to Northbrook. Big companies include Kraft Foods Inc. and Crate & Barrel.
Each challenger will appear on the primary ballot without opposition, and then face off in the general election.
