Northfield Farmers’ Market Opening Day—May 26!
Spring has sprung and summer is just around the corner. The Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce is happy to open its Northfield Farmers’ Market on Saturday, May 26th at 6 Happ Road in Northfield, across from New Trier Township High School Northfield Campus.
Each Saturday, thru October 20, farmers, greenhouses, bakers and other vendors display their goods. The market has been a Northfield tradition for over 30 years and is a great place to spend a Saturday morning.
The Northfield Farmers’ Market provides a vast array of newly picked vegetables, freshly cut flowers as well as potted plants and flowers. Shoppers can also purchase made-to-order pizza, baked specialty goods, grass-fed beef, pork, turkey, chicken, eggs, and gourmet pesto. There is a gourmet cheese vendor. Shoppers come to the market to buy freshly baked items from local vendors like Three Tarts Bakery, gluten free items and a myriad of other baked items from vendors.
The farmers’ market is a great place to meet shop for local farm to table items. The market is held on a beautiful green space and is a great way to spend a Saturday morning. The Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome back longtime and much loved vendors as well as some new members this year. Stop by on opening day to see what the market has for you and your family.
