This Week at the Winnetka Park District . . .

Adult CoRec Drop-In Volleyball
The Winnetka Park District is hosting CoRec Volleyball at Washburne School Gym. Recreation teams will be formed on Tuesdays from 8:00-9:30 pm beginning December 3-February 25 for volleyball play in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. No drop-in program on December 24, 31 and February 18.Players should have basic knowledge and skill of volleyball. “Pick-up” games will be played with no referees. Santa Claus is Coming . . . to Winnetka!

Join the Winnetka Park District and the Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce as we welcome Santa Claus to Hubbard Woods Park on Saturday, December 7 from 1:00-3:00 pm.  Why fight for a mall parking spot when Santa will be just down the street?  Warm up with some hot chocolate and get your picture taken with the big guy himself.  There will be plenty of other enjoyable activities like a trackless train ride and cookie decorating to keep kids happy.  This is also a perfect opportunity for your child to hand-deliver their thoughtful Santa letter to the man in charge.

The Santa’s visit program is supported by our community partner, Marian Michael. Hot chocolate and bagels will be provided by our community partner, Once Upon A Bagel. For more information contact the Winnetka Park District at 847-501-2040.

Winter Skating Exhibition
Tot thru Free Skate program participants will have a chance to demonstrate their skills in the Winnetka Ice Arena’s Annual Winter Exhibition on Saturday, December 7 at 3:00 pm.

Admission is free for this special performance by the Ice Angels Synchronized Skating Teams and the Winnetka Figure Skating Club. For more information contact the Winnetka Ice Arena at 847-501-2060.

Candy Cane Lane
Do visions of sugar plums dance in your head during the holiday season? Starting December 7 through January 5 stop by Hubbard Woods Park and see it transformed into Candy Cane Lane. Bring the entire family to spread good tidings and holiday cheer, while walking down Candy Cane Lane. Lights come on nightly at 5:00 pm. A.C. Nielsen Century Cup Tennis Tournament
The A.C. Nielsen Tennis Center will host its annual Century Cup Tennis Tournament on Sunday, December 8 from 11:30 am – 3:00 pm.  All teams combined age must be 100 years or more.  For more information and to register for this tournament contact the A.C. Nielsen Tennis Center at 847-501-2065.
