Winnetka Winter Carnival Starts Saturday
Celebrate the short days and cold weather with the annual Winnetka Winter Carnival.
Winter Carnival
Bring the whole family to the annual Winter Carnival on Saturday, Jan. 11 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and celebrate the Winnetka Park District’s brand new outdoor ice rink just south of the Winnetka Ice Arena (490 Hibbard Road).
There will be lots of opportunities for fun with activities, games, entertainment by 4 Sure Entertainment DJ, and of course skating. You will need to bring your own skates, there will be a very limited selection available. Light refreshments will be provided. Snowshoeing Open House
Discover the sport of snowshoeing this winter by walking the Winnetka Golf Course in a whole new way. Whether you love to stride along nature trails or take all-day hikes on mountainous terrain, L.L.Bean has the snowshoeing activity for you.
If you’re new to snowshoeing or looking to refine your skills, the Saturday, Jan. 11 Open House from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Little Duke will introduce residents to L.L.Bean’s staff, equipment, and the Snowshoeing Outdoor Discovery Course now located in Winnetka.
No experience is necessary and everything you need will be provided. Come with questions, get some answers, and try out snowshoeing for yourself.
