Open and Closed in Winnetka-Glencoe on Monday

It's another bitter cold Monday on the North Shore, with an expected high of -1 and dangerous wind chills as low as -25, according to the National Weather Service. 

All Winnetka and Glencoe public schools, including New Trier High School, are closed on Monday, according to the Emergency Closing Center.

Due to the extreme weather conditions expected on Monday, the Glencoe Park District has made the following decisions: 

• Early Learning Center (ELC) and Glencoe Junior Kindergarten (GJK) classes are canceled. 
• Children's Circle will be open normal business hours (7 AM-6:30 PM)
• Before and After-School Adventures participants will be offered a full-day program, from 7 AM-6:30 PM, in Room 230 at the Takiff Center (please note, the program will not take place at Watts). 
• The Takiff Center will be open until 6:30 PM. 

• Hatha Yoga (9:15-10:15 AM) will take place
• Open Gym will be offered (10 AM- 2 PM) with an attendant.
• All other park district programs are canceled.
