"Super Stolie, who was out on Friday, was new to our lineup this summer," said Lara Piner, the recreation supervisor for the park district. "She was very engaging and entertaining!"

"We try to choose a few new performers every year, but also invite back performers that were popular with the kids," Piner said.

Schultz' mini-circus, for example, is "always a hit" with kids and their families, Piner said. Grammy-nominated children's musician Dave Rudolf is also scheduled to perform silly songs.

Rudolf will be playing on July 20, while Schultz will end the series with his performance on July 27.

Both concerts are from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. in Clarkson Park at 1950 Willow Road. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket and picnic items as they enjoy the performances.
