Trevian Sports Roundup: Basketball Teams Remain Undefeated
Bowling started its season off against Evanston while club hockey advanced to the semifinals of a recent tournament.
Girls Basketball: Even a transition into the Central Suburban League couldn’t stop New Trier from continuing its early-season dominance. Led by Maggie Lyon’s 29 points, held off Niles North on the road for a 57-47 victory.
Jessica Blackwell chipped in with eight points while Meg Rosinski added seven for the Trevians.
New Trier is 5-0 on the season and hosts Maine South on Friday in its first CSL South matchup.

Boys Basketball: New Trier improved to 5-0 with a 46-31 win over Deerfield on Tuesday night. Connor Boehm had 10 points while Reid Berman chipped in with 10 points and the Trevians pulled away from Deerfield after holding only a four-point advantage at halftime.

New Trier returns most of its scoring from last season and is benefitting from .
The Trevians go on the road to face Warren on Saturday before starting CSL South play on Dec. 6 at Niles West. Warren is ranked No. 2 in the state by ESPN Chicago. New Trier comes in at No. 11 in the same poll.
Girls Bowling: New Trier fell to Evanston 2,565 – 2,343 in a dual match on Wednesday. Evanston’s Dawn Sidney was the high scorer with a 592 series (185-222-185).
The Trevians were led by Margo Singer (452), Taylor Bodman (409) and Irene Skokna (379).
Club Hockey: New Trier Green advanced to the semifinals of the Loyola Thanksgiving Tournament before falling to St. Rita 2-1 in double overtime.
In pool play the Trevians shut out Evanston 9-0 and had two 6-1 victories over Bartlett and Benet Academy.
