Viewfinder: Students Flock to Raise Funds for St. Baldrick's

Heads were shaved for a good cause in The Skokie School's gym at the Scissors Edge-sponsored event.

Some of Winnetka's youngest philanthropists experienced some intentional hair loss Thursday night. More than 30 boys, known as the "Baldies," parted with their hair to raise awareness of childhood cancers.

Two Skokie School teachers organized the group and the event, now in its eighth year in Winnetka. The Baldies also raise money for St. Baldrick's Foundation in addition to their gesture of solidarity. Stylists from Scissors Edge did the honors at the Skokie School gymnasium.
