UPDATE: Judge Denies New Trier Senior's Request To Walk At Graduation

The decision was made in an emergency hearing Wednesday.

A New Trier senior who was suspended earlier this month will not be walking at his graduation Sunday, a Cook County judge ruled Thursday.

John Matthews and his family filed May 31, requesting the court overrule the school's decision, TribLocal reports. On Wednesday, Judge Kathleen M. Pantle reaffirmed the school's decision to bar him from the graduation ceremony and party after he printed and distributed pornographic images on school property.

The Matthews family and their lawyer, Brian Hays, did not comment on the decision.
