Skokie School Earns Blue Ribbon

The school is among 21 in Illinois to earn the prestigious award.

The Skokie School in Winnetka has been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School for 2013 by U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. 

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes schools — public and private — that achieve either very high learning standards or are making notable improvements toward those standards. In 2013, 286 schools were honored with the award, including 21 in Illinois. Skokie School fifth grade teacher Anthony Rowe and Principal April Jordan, to receive this award in Washington, D.C. in November.
