Rahm Emanuel Honored at New Trier Fundraiser

This year's Alumni Achievement Awards and Hall of Honor inductees included a member of the Tuskegee Airmen and an Academy Award-winning director.

Chicago Mayor was one of 10 New Trier Alumni inducted into the school's Hall of Honor at the second annual  Alumni Achievement Awards.

Held March 15 at the Hilton Orrington Hotel in Evanston, the benefit for the New Trier Educational Foundation was attended by nine of the honorees, with only Emmy-winning actress Ann-Margret missing the event.

VIP patrons, who paid an extra $100 in addition to the $125 tickets, had the chance to mingle with celebrated alumni, including Academy Award-winning director, producer and writer Edward Zwick, former U.S. ambassador to Bosnia/Herzegovina Thomas Miller and Chicago Sky owner Michael Alter.

The New Trier Educational Foundation funds educational opportunities for New Trier students and faculty that are not a part of the District 203 budget.

Ann Margret left New Trier at age 15. She never graduated high school here or anywhere. Who cares though, back in the day she was hot so who cares.
