New Trier's Winter Carnival Raises Money for Charity

New Trier High School's Class of 2013 are hoping to use the funds raised to build a home in Waukegan for a single mother of two children.

New Trier High School students recently brought the summer fun to wintery North Shore with the 19th annual Winter Carnival on March 1, and hope their yearlong fundraising efforts will raise $100,000 to build a home in Waukegan for a single mother of two children, Winnetka Talk reported.

The high school seniors have been fundraising throughout the year with events like bringing a hypnotist to campus and selling books but the Winter Carnival is the biggest event and could help raise some $30,000, Winnetka Talk reported.
