New Trier Union and Board Reach Tentative Agreement

Details of the tentative agreement won't be released until October.

The New Trier Board of Education and the New Trier Faculty Association reached a tentative agreement concerning their new contract at their meeting on Sept. 12. 

The Board and the Association entered into mediated agreements in early August after failing to reach an agreement on their own. The groups met five times before coming to the tentative agreement. 

Al Dolinko, president of the New Trier Township Board of Education and Erik Saszik, president of the NEw Trier Education Association signed a join statement that was released Friday morning.

“The New Trier Township High School District 203 Board of Education and the New Trier Township High School Education Association (NTHSEA) negotiation teams are pleased to announce they have reached a tentative agreement on a multi-year contract, resolving all outstanding issues," the statement read.  "The parties were able to reach this agreement through a strong collaborative effort and with mutual respect."

Details of the agreement won't be made until its been ratified by the NTHSEA membership and when its presented to the Board of Education for approval. The NTHSEA will submit the tentative agreement to members on Oct. 1, and it will be considered by the Board soon after.
