New Trier Seniors Create Website for Finding a Date to the Dance

Thedancematch.com helps New Trier seniors find a date to upcoming dances.

Two New Trier seniors — Andy Feis and Dylan Cable (along with two other friends)— have created a website to help students find dates to the big dance. Thedancematch.com allows students to login and create a profile, ranking between one and 15 people they'd like to go to the dance with, according to Winnetka Talk. Then, if two people have each other on their lists, they'll be matched up. The site launched last spring, and already has 318 New Trier students signed up.

“People were having trouble asking people, people were being asked by people they didn’t want to go with and I was trying to think of a solution for them," Feiss told Winnetka Talk. "People may not know who they want to go with, they may be too shy to ask, are scared of getting rejected, or if you’re a girl you have to wait for somebody to ask you.” The website is not sanctioned or endorsed by the school.
