New Trier Considers Spending $4M to Make Schools More Accessible

New Trier Township School District 203 is looking at plans to make the Winnetka and Northfield campuses more accessible to people with disabilities.

 

New Trier Township High School District 203 is looking at spending more than $4 million to update buildings on its Winnetka and Northfield campuses to make them more accessible to people with disabilities, Chicago Tribune reported.

The architectural firm Perkins + Will made various recommendations for upgrades to the Gaffney Auditorium on the Winnetka Campus and the Cornog Auditorium on the Northfield campus as well as installing more elevators and ramps throughout District 203 and making more washrooms accessible under the Americans With Disabilities Act, Chicago Tribune reported.
