Understanding the "Hookup Culture"

Ever wonder what 15- to 25-year-olds mean by “hooking up?” This workshop will view the documentary, “Understanding Hookup Culture: What’s Really Happening on College Campuses,” with Gina Logan, Ph.D., research assistant professor in adult development at Northwestern University. This film, which features a lecture by Stanford University’s Paula England, looks beyond anecdotal evidence to examine the claim that “when it comes to intimacy and sex, young people today are doing away with the old rules of romance and cutting straight to the chase.” Gina will invite open discussion among women of all ages.

Tuesday, June 5, 7 to 8:30 pm. $20
