North Shore Country Day School Parent Ed Event "The Entanglement Between Learning and Design"

North Shore Country Day School is hosting a Parent Education event featuring Trung Le, AIA, the award-winning architect of North Shore's Upper School renovation, and pioneer in OWP/P Cannon Design's education practice; and design guru Bruce Mau, founder of Bruce Mau Design and the new Bruce Mau Live, and creator of the extraordinary 2006 exhibit Massive Change: The Future of Global Design at Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art. Collaborators on the 2010 book "The Third Teacher," Bruce and Le will each present their thoughts on the future of design and learning, and how education is transformed by its environment. Parent Ed is utilizing a brand-new format for its events modeled after the famed TEDTalks (TED.com) -- each speaker will talk for 18 minutes, presenting an "idea worth spreading." The program will also stream a TEDTalk to open the event, and will include a lively Q&A. Don't miss this opportunity to see two great minds at work, and get a glimpse into your child's (and grandchild's) educational future. Free and open to the public, with a book sale and signing, and opportunities for mingling and discussion -- bring your teen. For more info, contact Parent Ed co-chairs Anne Kelly, ah.kelly@comcast.net or Lonnie Stonitsch, lonnie@stonitsch.net.
