Central School playing fields will be transformed into a battle ground as the 7th graders re-enact the war between the States. Civil War Day is an interactive learning experience with "living" historians performing presentations of life during the Civil War. A Glencoe PTO-sponsored cultural arts program, this is especially relevant in 2011 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the attack on Fort Sumter. The organization that runs the program is called, "Don't Know Much About History Presentations."
