“We are impressed with and grateful for the leadership Dr. Hagerman has demonstrated in the District since last July," said Board President Dana Crumley in the press release. "He has worked thoughtfully with teachers and administrators to tackle a long list of annual goals and has also embarked on a thorough strategic planning process to determine a path for the future.”

Since he was hired, Hagerman has settled the teachers’ contract, hired a new CFO and new principals at Hubbard Woods and The Skokie School, implemented a comprehensive communications plan, initiated a grassroots strategic planning process and worked with staff to develop a common definition of progressive education practices for the district.
