Luxury Home Sales Increase In Winnetka, Glencoe

Winnetka was at the top of a recent Crain's Chicago Business list highlighting the growth in luxury home sales across the North Shore. 

There were 62 homes bought for at least $1.5 million in Winnetka this year, a 12.7 percent increase over last year, according to Chicago Real Estate Daily. In Glencoe, 28 luxury homes were bought in 2013, 16.7 percent more than last year. 

Practically every North Shore community saw a rise in luxury home sales this year, and the entire Chicago area saw a 22 percent bump in homes sold for at least $1.5 million, Chicago Real Estate Daily reports.
