7 of 10 Biggest Cook Co. Residential Property Tax Bills Headed to Winnetka-Glencoe

An analysis by Crain's Chicago Business showed that the two suburbs dominated the top 10.

It’s not a coveted list to be on.

Seven of the top 10 largest 2013 Cook County residential property tax bills are for homes in Winnetka and Glencoe, according to an article in Crain’s Chicago Business. Six of those are in Winnetka and one in Glencoe.

A $287,414 bill is the largest, for a home in South Barrington. Second is a $280,408 bill for a Sheridan Road home in Winnetka, with the No. 10 slot filled by another Winnetka Sheridan Road home, due to receive a $227,714 bill, the article says.

The average Cook County bill, which is headed to mailboxes this week, is $6,503, the article says.
