Winnetka's Head Environmental Commissioner Resigns

Debbie Ross, chairwoman of the village's Environmental and Forestry Commission has resigned out of frustration with the Village Council.

The head of Winnetka’s Environmental and Forestry Commission has resigned saying that the Village Council was not properly considering environmental concerns, Chicago Tribune reported.

Debbie Ross, chairwoman of Winnetka’s Environmental and Forestry Commission, has served on the commission since it was created about six years ago and has been vocal about her concerns of the potential environmental impact of the $34.5 million Willow Road tunnel plan, the newspaper reported.
