Winnetka May Expand Hours Liquor is Served
The Village Council is looking to update the liquor control rules, including adding additional hours when liquor can be served.
The Winnetka Village Council is looking at changing the liquor control regulations, including allowing alcohol to be served one hour later into the evening, according to an article in Winnetka Talk.
Businesses are currently able to serve liquor indoors until 11 p.m. and outside until 9 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The new rules would push the times back an hour, the Winnetka Talk article says.
The proposal would also allow alcohol to be served without food, permitting two drinks per customer who is not eating, according to information in the council’s agenda packet for its March 20 meeting, when the issue will be discussed.
