What Does Winnetka's Gubernatorial Candidate Really Think About Minimum Wage?

Bruce Rauner caught some heat for comments about reducing the Illinois minimum wage, but now he says we could actually increase it.

Winnetka's Bruce Rauner is a Republican running for governor in Illinois. He made headlines this week when he said the state should reduce its minimum wage by a dollar, to $7.25, to attract new businesses, according to Winnetka Talk.

However, Rauner may have changed his mind on the issue.

"I made a mistake. I was flippant and I was quick," Rauner told the Chicago Tribune about the comment. Now, he's saying the state minimum should actually increase if the federal minimum doesn't change, according to Huffington Post.

Rauner is a multimillionaire and venture capitalist, according to The Reader.
