Northfield Park to Get $280K Upgrade

Winnetka Park District plans to update the playground with an improved playground, half-court basketball area and a butterfly garden.

 

Northfield Park, a two-acre area near the Edens Expressway in Northfield, will soon be getting an improved playground, half-court basketball area and a butterfly garden, Chicago Tribune reports. 

Winnetka Park District, which oversees the site, says with the main focus on the Skokie Playfield renovations, they wanted to make sure neighborhood parks are receiving the attention they need and the $280,000 upgrade is part of regular maintenance and repair, Chicago Tribune reported.
