Glencoe Leaders to Start "Presidential Council

Glencoe Village President Larry Levin is looking to form a "President's Council" of park, school and library board presidents, Glencoe News is reporting. Levin sent letters to the presidents of the boards looking to solve issues that the individual panels have been unable to solve on their own, with a key subject being restoring Glencoe School District 35's Misner Auditorium.

Levin expects the first President's Council meeting to be held in July, with meetings afterward being held quarterly. Levin told Glencoe Life that he expects the use of public space to be a major topic of conversation at the meetings. He also said that, with both the village and the park districts updating their comprehensive plans, he expects that ideas will flow from those plans to the new council.
