Rep. Jan Schakowsky Reviews “State of the Nation”

WINNETKA, Ill., June 2, 2011 – Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (D-9th) will review the “State of the Nation” in a public forum beginning 3:00 p. m., Sunday, June 12th at the Winnetka Community House.  She’ll outline economic, budget, security, defense and other issues facing America, outline Congressional responses and answer questions.

            Rep. Jan Schakowsky’s Congressional district covers the southern third of New Trier Township.  Under 2012 redistricting, the 9th District will cover all New Trier Township except Glencoe.   

Rep. Schakowsky has been a lifelong consumer advocate and champion of the middle class.  She’s in her seventh Congressional term and chief deputy whip of the House Democratic leadership and member of the House Energy & Commerce and Intelligence Committees.
