The Kindness Connection is back with another fun and meaningful volunteer event on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Join us at the new location, the Skokie School cafeteria (520 Glendale Ave. – the entrance will be marked on the west side of the school). We will use our hands and our hearts to make:
- Hand stamped stationary for troops
- Mugs for Operation Homefront
- Paper dolls for Reach for Change
- Get well bears for childrens' hospitals
- Flip flops for WE-ACTx organization helping women in Rwanda
- Pencil bags for the Armenian Relief Mission
- Key chains for Habitat for Humanity
Come for ½ hour or spend the entire time with us from 10am – 2pm. Or, join us before or after FREE Open Gym, which is upstairs in the Skokie School gymnasium (K-3rd 10am-12pm and 4th-8th 1-3pm).
The Kindness Connection is an innovative, not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting volunteerism by connecting good people to good causes. Since The Kindness Connection started in 2007, it has reached 16,400+ volunteers and has delivered 25,000+ handmade projects to brighten the day of those in need. The Kindness Connection has taught children the value of volunteer work in schools in Wilmette, Winnetka, Evanston, Kenilworth, and Chicago and has held public as well as corporate events for Morningstar, BCG, CVS, Allstate and Northwestern University.
