Mike Madigan has been Speaker of the House for 29 of the last 31 years John Cullerton has been in the Illinois State House and Senate since 1979 It's pretty clear who caused the problems in Illinois, and that the team Dan wants to play for. We don't need another career politician in a part time legislature who's claim to fame is bankrupting the state. And the worst part is they claim its for the little guy, the needy, the infirm, well if that's true why are we dead last 50th out of 50 in what we provide for the mentally disabled both children and adults? Or is the 67% tax increase so retired State Senate President Emil Jones can receive $140,000 /year in pension when his highest Senate salary was $70,000? No wonder Dan didn't answer the questionnaire.
Mayor Daley left office because there was no where left to hide....all the irresponsible and illegitimate committmentss he made to unions and their pension funds finally came home to financial disaster while he was still in office. What a joke.
Twice now, in Skokie, and at the GBS., HS debate 9/19/12 you have said you want a progressive income tax. That will only drive people with money out of the State. You also stated that you want more gun laws to reduce crime. News flash Chicago is a shooting gallery for the gangs because law abiding citizens can't defend themselves by shooting back and people in gangs are already law breakers. I doubt the gangs will care about your new laws. FBI statistics, States with concealed carry laws, crime goes down very quickly. People won't just start dueling every time the Cubs play the Sox. Rep. Biss, you are part of the Springfield problem.
