120 Flower Baskets Could Adorn Winnetka's 3 Business Districts

Winnetka Village Council is expected to approve the project Tuesday, Chicago Tribune reports.

Winnetka’s business district could soon be blooming, with flowers, that is, if the village council approves a project to hang 120 new flower baskets on 60 light posts throughout the Elm Street, Hubbard Woods and Indian Hill business districts, Chicago Tribune reported.

The project is expected to cost at $81,000 to start and about $24,000 in yearly upkeep and would be funded from the fiscal year 2013-14 budget, which is expected to be approved Tuesday, Chicago Tribune reported.
