Winnetka Police Blotter: Laptop Stolen from Locker at New Trier

The following information was supplied by the Winnetka Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Feb. 25

Theft - A citizen reported two unknown males were seen seated in a parked vehicle in front of his residence on the corner Lloyd Place and Sheridan Road. The citizen saw one of the males remove a street sign, put it into their car, and then leave the area.

Feb. 24

Theft - A student discovered his 13-inch Apple MacBook computer taken from an unsecured locker in the boy’s gym locker room on New Trier High School’s Winnetka campus.

Traffic arrest - A 23-year-old man from Evanston was arrested for driving without a valid drivers license. also cited him for use of a handheld mobile phone and for driving an uninsured motor vehicle. This arrest was made subsequent to a traffic stop at 14 Green Bay Road. His court date is scheduled for March 15.

Feb. 23

Theft - A student discovered his wallet missing from his unsecured locker in the boy’s gym locker room on New Trier High School’s Winnetka campus. This occurred sometime during the morning of Feb. 21.

Residential burglary - A victim discovered an unknown subject attempted to make entry into her home on the 200 block of Chestnut Street. A broken rear first floor window was discovered. This occurred sometime during the morning of Feb. 23. No property was reported missing.
