Winnetka Police Blotter: iPhone Stolen from Locker Room

Here is a summary of incidents from Sept. 6-11.

The Winnetka Police Department provided the following reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sept. 11

Theft – Two Dell laptops, a Sony Playstation and several video games were reported stolen from the residence in the 300 block of Rosewood Avenue. The items were recovered from an acquaintance of the victim shortly after the theft was reported. No complaints were signed.

Cannabis violation – Lyanna M. Nieves, 19, and Charles E. Muhlenbruch, 21, both of Franklin Park, were cited for possession of cannabis at the intersection of Green Bay and Tower roads at 1:44 a.m. Their court dates are scheduled for Oct. 19.

Sept. 7

Theft – A woman discovered her black iPhone 4 missing from the bench in the girls’ locker room at New Trier High School.

Sept. 6

Traffic Arrest – Craig Bayless, 64, of Winnetka, was charged with failure to give information after a collision with an unattended vehicle. The arrest was subsequent to a traffic crash investigation in the 1000 block of Cherry Street. His court date is Sept. 30.
