Winnetka Blotter: Rolex, Bikes, Prescription Drugs Stolen

Residential Burglary

A resident in the 600 block of Green Bay Road reported that someone broke into his residence and stole cash, a laptop, two watches, a laptop case and jewelry between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Aug. 15. The amount of loss is estimated at $3,060. 

A resident in the 1300 block of Asbury reported that someone broke into the home and removed more than $10,000 worth of jewelry, designer purses, cufflinks, a watch and alcohol between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 17.

Theft

A resident in the 600 block of Walden Road reported that someone stole a men’s stainless steel and gold Rolex watch and multiple pieces of jewelry from the home between July 16 and Aug. 17. The loss is in excess of $10,000. 

Bike Theft

A men’s Trek bike valued at $300 was reported stolen from 385 Winnetka Ave., between 10 a.m. and noon on Aug. 14. 

A resident in the 1300 block of Holly Lane reported that someone removed two bikes from the garage between Aug. 14 and Aug. 19. One bike was later recovered by but the other remains missing. The loss is estimated at $500. 

Prescription Medicine Stolen

A resident in the 600 block of Green Bay Road reported that someone broke into his home and removed prescription medication between 5 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Aug. 15. The amount of loss is unknown at this time. 

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

An owner’s manual that contained insurance card and vehicle registration was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 00 block of High Street between Aug. 18 and Aug. 19. The loss is estimated at $25. 

Warrant Arrest

Christopher Cambll Porter, 20, of the 300 block of Jackson, Glencoe was arrested on a warrant out of DeKalb County following a noise complaint investigation in the 600 bclok of Winnetka Mews on Aug. 17. He was issued a Sept. 18 court date. 

Traffic Arrest

Jason L. Christlieb, 35, of the 900 block of 18th, Manitowoc, Wis., was arrested Aug. 18 for driving with a suspended driver’s license and cited for speeding following a traffic stop in the 700 block of Rosewood Avenue. He was issued a Sept. 11 court date.
