Winnetka Blotter: New Trier Student Cited for Pot, Traffic Arrests

A summary of incidents that occurred Feb. 14-18.

The following items are taken from Winnetka Police Department reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

 

Monday, Feb. 21

Traffic Arrest: A 15-year-old male was arrested in the 300 block of Green Bay Road at 2:31 p.m. on a charge of driving without a valid driver's license and he received a citation for driving with expired insurance. His court date is March 16.


Traffic Arrest: An 18-year-old Glenview man was stopped by police at Forestway and Tower Road at 12:59 a.m. after a traffic crash. He was arrested for witholding information after striking unattended property, and cited for his speed, reckless driving and driving withou valid insurance. His court date is April 8.

Friday, Feb. 18

Identity Theft: A Winnetka resident notified police after he found unauthorized charges on his credit card from Feb. 10. The amount of the loss is unknown.

Cannabis Activity: A 15-year-old male New Trier students was cited for possession of cannabis on school property at 2 p.m. at the Winnetka campus. His court date is March 16.

 

Feb. 16

Traffic Arrest: A 43-year-old Chicago woman was arrested at 8:19 a.m. at Linden and Sunset and charged with driving without a valid driver's license. Her court date is March 8.

 

Feb. 14

Theft: A business check was reported missing from an office in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue since Jan. 1. No other information about the check or corresponding account is known.
