Winnetka Blotter: Men Charged With Theft; Pot at New Trier
A summary of incidents that occurred March 15-20.
The following items are taken from Winnetka Police Department reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Sunday, March 20
Domestic Battery: A 51-year-old Northbrook man was arrested on a domestic battery charge in connection to a March 19 incident in the 700 block of Foxdale Avenue. The man was arrested at 7:22 p.m. in the 1600 block of Maple Street in Northbrook. His court date was March 21.

Criminal Damage: Graffiti was seen on an underpass structure in the 100 block of Northwestern Drive. The amount of damage was unknown.

Traffic Arrest: A 24-year-old Lombard woman was arrested at Green Bay Road and Sunset Avenue at 3:40 a.m. for driving with a revoked license. The woman was also cited for driving without a rear registration light. Her court date is April 18.
Friday, March 18
Cannabis Activity: A 17-year-old male was cited at New Trier High School at 1 p.m. for possession of cannabis. His court date is April 18.
March 16
Traffic Arrest: A 28-year-old Chicago man was charged in the 100 block of Green Bay Road at 10:04 p.m. with driving without a valid driver's license after a traffic crash investigation. The man received citations for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving without valid insurance. His court date is April 1.
Theft: Two Chicago men were arrested and charged with misdemeanor theft after an investigation into prior thefts reported in the 600 block of Green Bay Road. One of the men, a 25-year-old, was also charged with driving without a valid driver's license. The men were arrested in the 700 block of Green Bay Road at 3:24 a.m. and their court date is April 1.
March 15
Traffic Arrest: A 43-year-old Palatine man was stopped by police at 8:10 a.m. in the 300 block of Locust Road and charged with operating a vehicle with an expired driver's license. The man also received a citation for using a hand-held cell phone in a school zone. His court date is April 8.
