Winnetka Blotter: $7K of Jewelry Stolen, Cannabis Possession and More

Criminal Damage

A victim discovered unknown offender(s) damaged three wooden boards of his fence in the 500 block of Meadow Road. This occurred sometime on May 27. Damage is estimated to cost $1000.00 to repair.

A victim discovered between 12 p.m. on May 27 and 9 a.m. on May 28, unknown offender(s) damaged a vinyl banner hanging on the Green Bay Trail. The damage totaled $350.00.

A victim discovered between 7 p.m. on May 28 and 8:30 a.m. on May 29, unknown offender(s) damaged the upper glass pane of the front storm door in the 900 block of Cherry Street. The damage totaled $300.00.

A victim discovered her trash can to be damaged in the 600 block of Hill Road. The offender, Justin R. Hundley, was located and taken into custody. Replacement for the item is estimated to be $72.00.

An officer discovered between 10:23 a.m. on May 27 and 10:42 a.m. on May 30, unknown offender(s) used a flare to burn graffiti on the south wall of the tunnel, at 299 Green Bay Rd. Public works was notified for removal. Repair costs are $55.00.

An officer discovered unknown offender(s) spray painted graffiti with white paint on the southeast utility pole at the corner of Birch and Ash Streets. Public works was notified for removal. Repair costs are $50.00.

Theft

A victim discovered between 4:30 p.m. on May 25 and 8 p.m. on May 27, unknown offender(s) removed an unsecured black Giant boys mountain bike from the backyard in the 900 block of Tower Road. The bike is valued at $400.00.

A victim discovered between 10 a.m. on May 27 and 11 a.m. on May 29, unknown offender(s) removed a men’s red and white 26” Fuji road bike from his attached garage in the 800 block of Mt. Pleasant Road. It is unknown if the garage door was open or unlocked. The bike is valued at $600.00.

A victim discovered between 7 a.m. on April 29 and 12 p.m. on May 1, unknown offender(s) removed a “Big Pilot” watch, dress shirts, shorts and ties from a residence in the 1400 block of Asbury Avenue. The items were valued at $16,750.00.

Traffic Arrest

James P. Hohenadel, an 18-year-old resident of Chicago, was arrested for driving with a suspended driver’s license. Hohenadel was also cited for driving with expired registration. His court date is July 16.

Marisol Pagan, a 43-year-old resident of Chicago, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Pagan was also cited for improper lane
usage, disobeying a traffic control signal, expired driver’s license and illegal
transportation of alcohol. Her court date is July 16.

Drug Possession

Dylan T. Brockland, an 18-year-old resident of Chicago, was cited for
possession of cannabis. Brockland was a seated passenger in a stopped vehicle.
His court date is July 16.

Burglary

A victim discovered unknown offender(s) entered her apartment and removed jewelry from her bedroom in the 800 block of Oak Street. This occurred between 7:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. on May 30. Amount of loss $7350.00.
