Winnetka 22-Year-Old Arrested for Daytime DUI

A resident was also the victim of identity theft in this edition of the Winnetka police blotter.

Improper use of registration

Norbert F. Scherer, 53, of the 200 block of Auburn Ave. in Winnetka, was arrested June 16 for improper use of registration. He has a June 30 court date.

A victim discovered that between June 6 and 17 someone opened a Verizon wireless account without his permission. The loss is $376.

Graffiti

An officer discovered June 17 that someone used black permanent market to deface the north and south walls and the east stairway of the Indian Hill train station. Repair costs $300.

DUI

Thomas E. Foorman, 22, of the 500 block of Cedar St in Winnetka, was arrested at Green Bay and Willow roads at 3:30 p.m. June 22 for driving under the influence of drugs and driving under the influence of alcohol. He was also cited for disobeyed a stop sign, failure to yield and improper lane usage. He has an Aug. 8 court date.
