Burglary of Motor Vehicle

A Glencoe victim reported her car window smashed in and her Prada purse stolen from her vehicle in the parking lot at 7 S. Happ Rd. on Sept. 27 between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. The purse was in plain view at the time of the incident, and Northfield police continue to investigate. The loss is valued at more than $500. 

Distrurbance and Consumption of Alcohol by Minors

Northfield police responded to reports of a disturbance and possible underage drinking on Clover Lane Sept. 22 at 8:47 p.m. All of those cited are 16-years of age. They include: a female from Kenilworth, male from Glencoe and a male from Northfield, all who were cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor. Another male from Northfield was cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor and facilitating the use of the premises for consumption of alcohol. A male from Winnetka and female from Wilmette were cited for cosumption of alcohol by a minor and disobience to a police officer. All juveniles, with the exception of a male from Glenview, have a court date of Nov. 1. The Glenview male was not cited, but will go before a peer jury. 

No Valid Driver's License

Marvin E. Gomez, 30, of the 4000 W. George, Chicago, was observed disobeying a stop sign in the 500 block of N. Happ Rd Sept. 26 at 5:36 p.m., police said. Gomez was cited for having no valid driver's license and for disobeying a stop sign. He was given a $1,500 signature bond and his court date is set for Oct. 31. 

Hit and Run

Brandon B. Corr, 23, of the 1000 block of Robin Ln., Glenview, reportedly struck the rear end of a vehicle while driving a motorcycle in the 200 block of Waukegan Rd. and fled the scene on Sept. 24 at 5:25 p.m., according to Northfield police. Corr was apprehended with the assistance of Glenview police at Patriot and Willow Rd. He was cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident, no valid certification for operating a motorcycle, leaving the scene of a vehicle accident and failing to give information to police. He also was unable to show proof of insurance.  Corr was given a $2,000 ibond and his court date is set for Oct. 31.
