Two DUIs, Two Identity Thefts: Glencoe Police Blotter

The following arrest information was supplied by the Glencoe Public Safety Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

May 11

Identity Theft: A resident in the 1100 block of Pebblewood Drive told police at 3:58 p.m. that she had received a letter from the IRS advising her that her tax return had been rejected because the IRS had already received a 2012 tax return that contained her Social Security Number as well as her daughter’s Social Security Number.

DUI: At 11:29 p.m. near Eden’s Expressway and Dundee Road, a 41-year-old male from Waukegan was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol and disregard of a “No U-Turn” sign. He posted a $3,000 i-bond. His court date is June 11.

Identity Theft: A resident in the 700 block of Clover Lane told police at 3:46 p.m. that at 5 p.m. April 16 he was advised that his 2012 tax return had been rejected because the IRS had already received a 2012 tax return that contained his Social Security Number.

DUI: At 1:57 a.m. near Eden’s Expressway and Dundee Road, a 54-year-old male from Cedar Lake, Ind. was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Police also charged him with speeding more than 30 miles over the speed limit, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol. His court date is June 11. He posted a $3,000 bond.
