Traffic Arrest Leads to Pot Citation

Traffic arrest leads to drug citation

Joel Garcia, 21, of Wheeling, was arrested just after midnight March 27 at Sheridan Road and Scott Avenue for driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was also cited for improper lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. His court date is April 24.

A passenger in the car, Rey Martinez, 22, of Glenview, was cited for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was given an April 24 court date.

Identity theft

A resident discovered that between March 6 and 9 someone made several unauthorized charges to two of her store credit card accounts for a total loss of $6,285.

Traffic arrest

Ismael Garay, 19, of Chicago was arrested for driving without a valid license and cited for failure to signal when required and for operating an uninsured motor vehicle at 8:45 p.m. March 29 in the 400 block of Green Bay Road. His court date is April 24.
