Theft at Carleton Washburne School

The following arrest information was provided by the Winnetka Police Department. When an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Theft

A victim on the 500 block of Ash St. discovered between April 1 and April 2 that unknown offender(s) removed three bags of lawn care products from the front lawn, police reports state. The amount of loss is reported at $37.

Justino Guzman Fernandez, 26, of Prospect Heights is being charged with driving without a valid driver's license, according to police reports. Fernandez was also cited for having no proof of insurance and use of a hand held cell phone while driving. The incident occurred at the intersection of Willow Rd. and Locust Rd. on April 3. His court date is set for May 3.

Claudia O. Escalante-Palomo, 44, of Chicago is being charged with driving without a valid driver's license, Winnetka Police reports state. Escalante-Palomo was also cited for use of a hand-held cell phone while driving and speeding. The incident occurred on the 70 block of Green Bay Rd. on April 7. Escalante-Palomo's court date is set for May 3. 

Theft

A victim at the Carleton W. Washburne school (at 515 Hibbard Rd.). discovered that between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. an unknown offender(s) had removed her white Applie iPhone 5 from an unsecured locker, reports state. The amount of loss is reported at $979. 

Traffic Arrest

Caroline H. Erbmann, 70, of Glencoe is being charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, according to Winnetka Police reports. Erbmann was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and for disobeying a stop sign. The arrest was made subsequent to a traffic crash investigation. The incident occurred at the intersection of Church Rd. and Hill Rd. on April 7. Her court date is set for May 3.
