Teen Girls Arrested at New Trier For Cannabis Possession

The following reports were provided by the Winnetka Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations, and do not guarantee guilt.

Traffic Arrests
On Nov. 5, on the 300 block of Green Bay Road, officers arrested Serafin Salinas Alcantar, 37, of Chicago, for driving with a suspended license, improper turning and operating an uninsured vehicle, according to police.

On Nov. 10, Steven M. Karras, 42, of Highland Park, was arrested on the 300 block of Green Bay Road for driving with a suspended license, improper lane usage and no valid proof of insurance, according to police.

Cannabis Activity
On Nov. 4, two 15-year-old women were arrested at New Trier for possession of cannabis, according to police. One was also charged with intent to deliver, police say. 

Theft
On Nov. 4, an employee of a business on the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue reported that an unknown offender asked the manager to make change for a $100.00 bill, but after receiving the change, the offender grabbed the original $100.00 bill from the counter and fled from the restaurant, according to police.
