Teen Arrested for Domestic Battery

Someone also made three wire transfers totaling $1,900 in a case of identity theft.

Stolen bike

A victim discovered that between 7:15 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on April 7, someone took his bike that had been locked to a rack in the 1000 block of Gage Street. It is described as a silver men’s Giant hybrid, 21-speed mountain bike worth $350.

Identity theft

A victim discovered that sometime on April 3 someone gained access to his Chase bank account and made three wire transfers without his permission totaling $1900.

Domestic battery

A 17-year-old boy from New Trier Township was arrested for domestic battery April 9 at 6:15 p.m. and referred to juvenile court.

Fraud

A victim discovered that between March 12 and 19, someone attempted to file state and federal tax returns using his social security number. There was no reported loss at the time.
