Suspicious Person Investigation Leads to Arrest

An iPad was also stolen from New Trier in this edition of the Winnetka police blotter.

The following information is from the Winnetka Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Criminal damage

Juan P. Cunha, 20, of Winnetka, was arrested May 12 for criminal damage to property in the 800 block of Elm Street. The arrest followed a suspicious person investigation.

Someone broke a garage window with an unknown object between May 7 and 15 in the 1200 block of Cherry St. The repair and replacement costs are estimated at $350.

Theft

Someone stole an unattended black Apple iPad from a push care in a classroom at New Trier High School on May 13. The loss is estimated at $105.

Someone stole a black and grey bike and cable lock from a bike rack in the 700 block of Elm Street between 12:45 p.m. May 17 and 8:15 a.m. May 18. Loss is estimated at $150.
