Sports Items Stolen from Sheridan Road Home

A necklace and rosary were also taken in a separate incident.

Windows broken

A resident in the 1200 block of Whitebridge Hill Road discovered that someone broke two windows with stones between May 14 and 19. The repair costs are $700.

Theft

Someone stole a silver necklace and pearl rosary, with a combined worth of $300, from a school desk in the 100 block of Ridge Avenue between May 15 and 16.

Residential burglary

Someone entered a home in the 800 block of Sheridan Road between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. May 22 and stole several sports-related items.

Traffic arrest

Nicholas F. Weissenstein, 27, of Bloomingdale, IL, was arrested at 4 a.m. May 23 in the 300 block of Birch Street for driving with a suspended license. He was also cited for improper display of plates and no proof of insurance. His court date is July 8.

Warrant arrest

After receiving a complaint about a solicitor, police arrested John Scott Wood, 27, of South Lyon, MI, in the 900 block of Sheridan Road May 23 on a warrant from Indiana.

Bike theft

Someone stole a red Trek 700 boy’s bike that was locked to a fence in the 300 block of Winnetka Avenue between 3 p.m. May 23 and noon May 24. Loss is $400.
