Police: Man Hit by Air Gun Pellet Through Open Car Window

The following arrest information was supplied by the Winnetka Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Deception
An employee at Randoon's reported that between July 18 and July 30, an unknown offender(s) purchased items from the store and paid for them with a check from a closed account. The amount of loss is reported at $169.13. 

Criminal Damage
A victim on the 300 block of Walnut St. reported that on August 13, an unknown offender(s) scratched and damaged her vehicle with an unknown object while it was parked in her driveway, police reports state. 

Battery
A victim reported that on August 14, he was struck in the neck with an irsoft pellet through an open window while driving on the 1000 block of Cherry St. A subsequent investigation revealed two juveniles from the New Trier Township area were responsible. The juveniles were referred to Peer Jury. 

Criminal Damage 
A victim on the 400 block of Winnetka Ave. reported that an unknown offender(s) broke and removed the driver's side mirror on her vehicle while it was parked in the apartment complex parking lot, police reports state. The repair cost is estimated at $450. 

Car Burglary
A victim on the 200 block of Poplar St. reported that between August 16 and August 17, an unknown offender(s) entered her unlocked vehicle and removed a Coach wallet and a travel backpack. The wallet contained multiple credit cards and a driver's license. The amount of loss is reported at $300.
