Police: iPad Stolen Off Kitchen Table

The following arrest information was supplied by the Glencoe Public Safety Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Dying Bird
A dying bird was found on a porch on the 400 block of Westley Rd. on Sept. 6, police reports state. The resident brought the bird to a vet, who told her to bring the bird to the Public Safety station to have it tested for West Nile Virus. The resident asked that the bird be healed, and told police that three birds have recently flown into her window. 

Skunk
A resident on the 1000 block of Edgebrook Ln. reported that a skunk was trapped in their backyard on Sept. 6. The skunk sprayed the owner's dog two times. Police advised them to leave the gate open so the skunk could leave, and move the dog indoors. 

Chipmunk
A resident on the 200 bloc of Beach Rd. reported that a chipmunk was trapped in her basement on Sept. 8. A trap was set up for the chipmunk. 

Theft
An iPad was stolen from a kitchen table on the 400 block of Drexel Ave. on Sept. 9, police reports state. 

Carbon Monoxide Alert
A Carbon Monoxide detector went off at a home in Glencoe on Sept. 10. The three people inside the home were checked, and there were no associated illnesses, reports state. 

Windshield Smashed
A driver reported that a large item rolled off a truck at the intersection of Eden's Expressway and Tower Rd. on Sept. 10. The object smashed the windshield of a Gray Mazda, but there were no injuries, reports state. 

Theft Over $500
A resident on the 00 block of Beach Rd. reported to police on Sept. 11 that $1,000 to $2,000 of stainless steel flatware has been stolen from her home, police reports state.
