Police: Five Arrested for Home Burglary

The following arrest information was supplied by the Winnetka Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Residential Burglary
Brian Johnson, 28, of Chicago and Destyne Butler, 18, of Chicago were arrested on Sept. 30 for residential burglary, police reports state. The arrests were made subsequent to an investigation from a previous incident that occurred on Aug. 5. 

Residential Burglary 
A 17-year-old male from Chicago, Brian Johnson, 28, of Chicago and Khiree Atwater, 19, of Chicago were arrested for residential burglary on Oct. 1, police reports state. The three arrests were made subsequent to an investigation from a previous incident that occurred on June 30. 

Identity Theft
A victim on the 00 block of Indian Hill Rd. reported that between July 16 and July 23, an unknown offender(s) made unauthorized purchases on her Chase Bank Visa credit card, reports state. The amount of loss is $51.12. 

Identity Theft
A victim on the 700 block of Hibbard Rd. reported that on Oct. 2, an unknown offender(s) used the victim's personal information when filling out a government document. There's no reported loss at this time. 

Theft
An employee at the Grand Food Center reported that on Oct. 2, an unknown offender(s) removed a Hibiscus plant from the store without paying for it, reports state. The amount of loss is $50. 

Deception
A victim on the 1300 block of Hackberry Ln. reported that on Oct. 3, an unknown offender(s) contacted the victim by phone and attempted to have her wire $4200 to an out-of-state account for a family emergency, reports state. There's no loss reported at this time. 

Traffic Arrest
Gabriel Baca-Gonzalez, 28, of Chicago was arrested for driving with a suspended driver's license, police reports state. She was stopped at the intersection of Hibbard Rd. and Kent Rd. Baca-Gonzalez was also cited for failure to signal and an obstructed windshield. 

Theft
A 15-year-old male juvenile from Glenview was arrested for theft on Oct. 7, reports state. The arrest was made subsequent to an investigation of a previous incident where $200 was removed from a student's backpack earlier that day. The juvenile was referred to Peer Jury. 

Theft
A victim on the 00 block of Indian Hill Rd. reported that between April 15 and Sept. 24, an unknown offender(s) removed a gold, diamond and emerald ring and a gold, pearl and diamond brooch, reports state. The amount of loss exceeds $10,000.
